There is never a moment when the course is the same twice. The further you progress, the harder the ascents, descents, and jumps become. It comes down to anticipating the upcoming challenge and adapting accordingly.
It is much more crucial to keep the correct riding angle than to ride fast. If you go either too far forward or backwards, you will not be able to maintain control after jumping or when riding up a hill. Being balanced will help you get back on track.
