Catdoku is an entertaining game in which cute kittens take the place of numbers and other symbols that are used in conventional grid puzzles. The task in this case is to find out which cell each kitten should be placed in, obeying certain constraints which will gradually grow more complicated with rising levels. Some empty squares may prove significant, and thus observation will be more helpful than hasty assumptions.

Find a Home for Each Cat
At the start of the game, you are presented with a certain number of colored spaces and empty squares on the board. A certain number of kittens should be placed there in such a way that the balance is maintained. Each of them should be placed in a separate column and row, and there can only be one kitten in each colored space.
Also, there is a spacing rule. Kittens cannot touch each other horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, including at the corners of the grid.
Use Deduction Instead of Guessing
Catdoku provides the player with an X-marking tool to mark the cells that have already been eliminated. This is very helpful when the player finds out that a certain row, column, color, or adjacent cell cannot possibly hold a cat.
Build a Chain of Clues
The one thing leading to the next. When the player has marked a lot of cells, he or she should be looking for the rows or colored areas where there is only one cell left to place the cat. Then another cell will be eliminated and so on.
Take on Harder Boards
Each time you play through a level, Catdoku offers you increasingly challenging puzzles, which require you to employ your logical skills. Notwithstanding the challenge, the game’s easy-to-use graphics and fluid animations make it very calming.
All the controls in the game are fairly easy: click on any box to put an X there, and double-click to put a cat.
