Extreme Gear Shift Racing is a 3D racing game wherein victory is not only about pressing the accelerate button but also requires the player to learn how to time gears properly, drive a variety of sports cars, and make good use of drifting and boosting. You have to go through 11 different levels in the single-player mode or compete against your buddy in two-player gameplay.
The secret of quick races in Extreme Gear Shift Racing lies in doing the gear shift exactly when it needs to be done. Pay attention to the indicator and shift gears once the line is in the green area. A successful gear shift will give you maximum acceleration and allow you to get ahead of the rival during the straightaway.
Different sports cars are available throughout the game process. Unlock new cars and select the one that suits you the most.
Drifting is one of the critical aspects of racing strategy that should not be missed. Look out for marked segments on the track and make controlled drifts in those areas. Successful completion of a drift will reward you with a boost, giving you extra speed where needed.
There are eleven levels in the game, offering you a definite challenge to face. Every race is an opportunity to test your shifting, steering, braking, and acceleration abilities. The objective in two-player mode is to beat your competitor to the finish line.
Players are introduced to the controls of their car via the tutorial. To move your car forward using a desktop, press W or Up arrow key. To stop or move your car backward, you may press S or Down arrow key. To steer your car, press either A/D or Left/Right arrow keys.
